Pete Wojtowicz

In July 1966, Pete’s father, Ed, opened the McDonald’s on County Line Road and Madison Avenue. Pete himself was approved as an independent Operator for the McDonald’s brand in 1984. In 1991 Pete opened his first store at U.S. 31 and Stop 11 Road. In 1996 he opened another location at Emerson Avenue and Southport Road. The Franklin Central location will be his seventh McDonald’s.

After earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida, Pete earned a master’s in industrial engineering in 1984 from Georgia Tech. While working on his master’s, he also worked at McDonald’s-for free!!

Pete is a member of the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald’s House in Indianapolis. The center, which provides a first-class living facility for families whose children are at Riley Hospital for Children, provides the service for little or no cost to the families.

In his free time, Pete can sometimes be found on a golf course. In 2000 Pete became the first amateur to win the Indianapolis Open. He also won at the Bonita Bay Invitational in Naples Florida in 1999 & 2000.
